At Baselworld 2017, Rolex introduced the latest creations in its Oyster and Cellini collections.
Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller
The latest generation of the Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller, the legendary professional divers’ watch created 50 years ago, in 1967, now features a larger, 43 mm case and the new calibre 3235. This movement at the forefront of watchmaking technology is backed by 14 patents, including for the exclusive Chronergy escapement, and offers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. For the first time, the new Sea-Dweller is equipped with a Cyclops lens on the crystal at 3 o’clock to enhance the reading of the date. The dial carries the name Sea-Dweller in red, a reference to the first model. Discover more about the watch on the link.
Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II
The new Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II is equipped with a new dial, and new hands characteristic of Rolex Professional models, enhancing legibility and sharpening the aesthetic appeal of this unique regatta chronograph. The dial features a triangular hour marker at 12 o’clock and a rectangular marker at 6 o’clock for a more intuitive reading of the watch. A luminescent disc on the hour hand clearly distinguishes it from the minute hand. This new configuration is available across the Yacht-Master II range. Discover more about the watch on the link.
Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona
Three new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona in 18 ct yellow, white or Everose gold are fitted on the innovative Oyster ex bracelet in elastomer reinforced with a metal blade. They are also equipped with a monobloc Cerachrom bezel, developed and patented by Rolex, in black ceramic. This latest evolution is a blend of high technology and sleek aesthetics, and pays tribute to the heritage of this legendary chronograph. Discover more about the watch on the link.
Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller
The Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller, Rolex’s classic watch for world travellers, is being introduced for the first time in yellow Rolesor (combining 904L steel and 18 ct yellow gold) and white Rolesor (904L steel with an 18 ct white gold bezel) versions. The dials now feature index hour markers and a luminescent Chromalight display, modernizing the aesthetics and enhancing legibility. The hands have also been lengthened for greater visual comfort. Oyster Perpetual Datejust 41
The new generation of the classic Oyster Perpetual Datejust 41 is now available in 904L steel and in a white Rolesor version (combining 904L steel with an 18 ct white gold bezel). Reflecting the yellow Rolesor and Everose Rolesor versions introduced in 2016, the new Datejust 41 watches are equipped with the redesigned 41 mm case, a wide selection of dials as well as the new Rolex calibre 3235 – a movement at the forefront of watchmaking technology with its 14 patents, the new Chronergy escapement and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. Oyster Perpetual Lady-Datejust 28
The 904L steel version of the classic Oyster Perpetual Lady-Datejust 28, as well as a white Rolesor version (combining 904L steel and an 18 ct white gold fluted or gem-set bezel) are both available with a wide choice of dials. As with the gold and Rolesor versions introduced in 2015 and 2016, these new watches feature the redesigned and larger 28 mm case, and calibre 2236, a new-generation mechanical movement equipped with the Rolex-patented Syloxi hairspring in silicon. Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 40
The Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 40, the emblematic Rolex nautical watch, is introduced in a gem-set version. This 18 ct Everose gold version is equipped with the innovative, elastomer Oysterflex bracelet, developed and patented by Rolex.
A new watch, the Cellini Moonphase, with an exclusive display of the phases of the moon, joins the Cellini collection. In a 39 mm case in 18 ct Everose gold, this new model is driven by a self-winding mechanical movement entirely manufactured by Rolex with a patented complication to display the moonphases.
