Roger Federer is one of the best tennis players of all time. The Swiss-born champion has rewritten the history of one of the world’s favourite sports, winning the record 20th Grand Slam® title, at the Australian Open 2018.
Despite being 36 years old, Roger Federer is still breaking records, showing that success shouldn’t be measured by years, but by the effort, persistence and desire for great results. This year, Roger once again crashed all records, winning the 20th Grand Slam title and his sixth title of the Australian Open in an exciting final against our Marin Čilić.
We congratulate the record holder on winning the Australian Open (2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2017, 2018), French Opena (2009), US Opena (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008) and Wimbledon (2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2017). When Roger Federer is on the court, time stops and millions watch the living legend do what he does best – play exceptional tennis.

Rolex Sky-Dweller Ref.326934 – 102.750,00 kn (13.700,00 €)
Roger Federer is known for his great love for Rolex watches and is their long-time Testimonee. He has raised his first trophy this year with the extremely attractive and sought-after Rolex Sky-Dweller in steel with a white gold bezel, Ref. 326934, with a blue dial.
It may come as surprise, but breaking records was never really important to Roger. His goals were very down to earth, very normal, hoping to be maybe a top 100 tennis player at some point, possibly top 10. However, reaching for his dreams was always something he tried to do. His success did not come easily and he has faced many disappointments along the way, but once he learned to deal with his uncontrolled emotions, everything changed.
I like to think positively, which helps me in the toughest moments.
His home country, Switzerland, had a great impact on Roger. Eventually, he realized he could be the first Swiss to be World Number One. In fact, he realized that he could achieve anything that no one ever had. And he succeeded! He embraced the challenge, took inspiration and motivation out of rivalries, out of records that could be broken, out of tournaments that he loved to play.
In 2009, Federer won the French Open for the first time that summer and was going to Wimbledon trying to break Pete Sampras’ all time Grand Slam® records. With a great victory over Roddick, he succeeded and broke the record as the tennis player with the most Grand Slam® titles won. When he was finally able to lift the trophy, he was wearing his Rolex on his wrist.
This is why this watch is particularly important to me. When I look at it, I remember that day very vividly: Pete Sampras came to watch the finals, Björn Borg was also there, John McEnroe was commentating, and Rod Laver was there as well. A lot of tennis legends were present. And when I walked out, they all came down the stairs to greet me and congratulate me for breaking the record. It was so nice to feel the love from the tennis family, which to me is very important. – Roger Federer on breaking the record
Every time I put on my Rolex, it reminds me of those great moments. It also reminds me that if you do not work hard, somebody else will, and they eventually will pass you. So you’ve got to be tough and even ruthless to some extent, but always be fair and play with style. I think that’s really important. – Roger Federer about his love for Rolex watches
