At the Baselworld 2017, Tudor revisits the feminine Clair de Rose line in a refined and timeless manner. Available exclusively in steel with mechanical movements, the new models come in three sizes and six designs.
Tudor Clair de Rose
The Clair de Rose line has been re-imagined for 2017. In a classic, refined and timeless spirit, it uses the brand’s historic aesthetic codes without straying from the gentle curves of its middle case and its striking winding crown, which on this model is set with a blue spinel cabochon. Available in three sizes, 26, 30 and 34 millimetres in diameter, it presents opaline dials with delicate decorations in relief, punctuated with blue lacquered Roman numerals or diamonds. Clair de Rose is fitted with a self-winding movement complete with date function and is available exclusively in steel.
The spirit of Clair de Rose
This feminine watch has a long history at Tudor and presents a style that is at the same time delicate and bold. The new Clair de Rose draws freely from this heritage, making aesthetic reference to lines with evocative names such as Princess, Glamour and Miss TUDOR. It was from the latter collection that one of the most recognisable Clair de Rose elements was taken: the winding crown adorned with a precious spinel cabochon.
Three bracelet design
Every size in the line comes with a choice of three bracelets: steel with small “rice grain” links for unrivalled suppleness and shine, black alligator leather for timeless elegance, or fabric adopting the Clair de Rose line’s signature curl for an artistic touch. This bracelet, produced using the traditional Jacquard technique by a 150-year-old family firm from the region of Saint-Étienne in France, is uniquely comfortable and filled with character.
Tudor is Born To Dare
In 2017, Tudor launched a new campaign with the “Born To Dare” signature. It reflects both the history of the brand and what it stands for today. It tells the adventures of individuals who have achieved the extraordinary on land, on ice, in the air or underwater, with a Tudor watch on their wrists. It also refers to the vision of Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Tudor, who manufactured Tudor watches to withstand the most extreme conditions, watches made for the most daring lifestyles. It is testimony to Tudor’s singular approach to watchmaking, which has made it what it is today. At the cutting edge of the watchmaking industry, its innovations are now essential benchmarks. The Tudor “Born To Dare” spirit is supported throughout the world by first class ambassadors, whose life achievements result directly from a daring approach to life.
Tudor is a Swiss made watch brand, offering mechanical watches with sophisticated style, proven reliability and unique value for money. The origins of the Tudor brand date back to 1926, when ‘The Tudor’ was first registered on behalf of the founder of Rolex, Hans Wilsdorf. He created the Montres TUDOR SA Company in 1946 to offer watches with the quality and dependability of a Rolex, at a more accessible price point. Throughout their history, Tudor watches have been chosen by the boldest adventurers and seasoned professionals alike. Today, the Tudor collection includes emblematic lines such as Black Bay, Heritage, Pelagos, Glamour and 1926 and, since 2015, it has offered mechanical manufacture movements with many diverse functions.
